THE STORY OF LISA CUTTS

The Past...

Lisa joined Kent Police in 1996 where she served for twenty-five years. Most of that time was spent working within the Serious Crime Directorate investigating murders for a living.

Her love of reading crime fiction inspired a new writing career alongside her full-time job...

She had no idea when she entered Myriad Edition's First Drafts Competition exactly where that would take her. Her entry was the first five thousand words of what later would become her debut novel, Never Forget. Much to Lisa's astonishment, it won. Never Forget was published in 2013, was longlisted for the Waverton Good Read awards the same year, won the Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award in 2014 and was optioned for television. 

The Present...

Since then, Lisa has...

Gone on to have six police procedurals published and three cosy, crime mysteries.

Become the Patron of the Rochester Literature Festival and taken part in the annual Murderous Medway Crime Fiction Festival.

Writes a monthly column in Writing Magazine answering police procedural questions.

Been on ITV's This Morning to talk about Broadchurch and Line of Duty.
